"Karen!!Karen!!" That loud noise came from the kitchen. Karen quickly get up from her cozy bed and quickly thumbled down the stairs. "Yes! I'm coming!" said Karen, looking anxious and worried. What happened? Is she going to get into trouble again? She remembered the last time she had her punishment just because she painted her bossy sister, Sabrina's nail the wrong colour. And by that, she was punished and cannot had her dinner nor lunch for 3 days. Well, she certainly don't want that to happen again! And because of that, she must be there when her stepmother called her, she cannot afford to be late even in a single minute."I'm here!" Karen groaned. When Karen opened her beautiful blue eyes, she realised that the kitchen was full of cats! White cats, black cats, brown spotted cats, everywhere!
Karen was shocked to see her stepmother standing on the dining table. Her stepmother trembled in fear and yelled for help. Karen found this scence hilarious. She starts to grin. " Stop laughing and get these stupid cats outta here!" Her stepmother yelled. "Right! I'm on it!" Karen starts to chase the cats away. "Geez.. There's so many cats these days.." Karen whispered softly so that no one can hear her. "Hurry! Hurry! I'm.. Ah-Choo! I'm very allergic.. Ah-Choo!! To.. the.. Ah-ah-Choo!! The.. Cats fur! Ah-choo!" Karen's stepmoher sneezed out loudly. "Shoo! Shoo! Cats! Go away and never come back!" Karen said.
After a few minutes, Karen managed to chase all the cats away. She turned to her stepmother and said:" Mom, they're all gone, you can come down now!" Her stepmother carefully stepped off the round shiny dining table. She starts to tidy her messy hair."Phew. Thank godness! For a second there, I thought I was about to freak out!" Stepmother said. She was relief. Karen looked at her stepmother, she was about to laugh. "What are you looking at? Now, go back to work! Never spoke of this to anyone!" Her stepmother said. Karen nodded. The door flew open and her stepmother walked out of the kitchen.
Karen looked out of the window, watching the rain drops falling down quietly. It reminds her of her kind mother who used to be by her side everytime. She remembered the last time that she saw her mother. Tears screwning down her mother's face. "Karen... Take.. Care of yourself.. Never easily give up.. On anyting.. Get it? Be.. A tough girl.. Promise me, Karen, promise me.. " Her mother said to her, sobbing. That blonde curly short hair, sincere smile was once by her side. But now, it's all different. It seems like it was only a dream to Karen. That pretty face slowly fade away from Karen's mind. "Oh mother, why did you left me?" Karen whispered. Tears rolling down her cheeks.
"What are you doing?" That sharp squeaky voice came out of nowhere. It must be her bossy stepsister! Sabrina! Karen had this thought in her mind. She quickly wiped off her tears and fake a smile. "Nothing. I'm just admiring the scenery outside." Karen replied softly. Her bossy, yet annoying stepsister, Sabrina walked to her as she crossed her arms over her chest. Sabrina said: " Yea sure, like I believe you.. I mean it's so obvious that you're thinking about your stupid mother!" Karen puzzled. Karen turned around facing Sabrina and said:" What did you say?" Sabrina replied confidently:" Yea, you heard me! I said your mother is a stupid person!" Sabrina's really getting on Karen's nerves now. "She's not stupid!" Karen shouted back. "Oh yes, she is, then.. How can you explain why she left you here? Hmm?" Karen kept quiet. " See! You can't even explain it yourself! What a shame!" Sabrina was making fun of Karen. Karen has a bad tempered. She's trying to control her emotions. But unfortunately, she would burst into flames the next second.
